It’s funny because he’s a grown man who just can’t ever accept that he’s ever done anything wrong. He’s a big kid who wants to avoid responsibility. His need to remain a child is, a psychiatrist might say, a way of refusing to be a moral agent.

One UK newspaper during the recent riots in London produced an interactive map of where all the rioting and disorder was taking place in the British capital. At first glance the map looked pretty scary – dots highlighting trouble were almost everywhere. With the Olympics less than a year away, it’s not an image the tourist authorities, nor for that matter the politicians, want to think too much about.

Russia’s tycoons have come back remarkably in 2010 as the country has set a new record for its number of billionaires. According to Finans magazine, Russia has 114 dollar billionaires, compared with less than 50 at the end of 2008, when the credit crisis saw the fortunes of the country’s billionaires drastically drop.

According to the top 500 rich list compiled by Russian magazine Finans', everyone on the list is worth at least $160 million, with the top 10 wealthiest Russians together worth $182 billion, up by 30% from $139 billion in 2009.
